Absolutely the nest dentist i have ever had!!! Honestly and im a person that avoids the dentist at all cost but this guy i do mot even tread when i have to go to him. He Je is the only dentist i will go to even if i move. Quick, painless, and reasonable

I went as a walk in, was seen in less than 5 mins, plus x-ray was done right after. Had to get a tooth extraction so that was done after x-ray. The whole process took me less than 20 min as a walk in, also he is great with making it less painful as possible! Great job and thank you!!

I’m just going to start off by saying Dr. Ha is a Super Hero Dentist! He made every visit easy and comfortable. Since day one I knew I found a home. He was gentle with his words and work. I kept getting denied and he fought to make sure I got the smile I deserved. I’ll forever be grateful!
As a new patient, I came in for a teeth cleaning and exam. Dr. Troy Ha is trust worthy, he did not find any cavities which I already knew because my previous Dentist who retired gave me the same diagnosis. I regularly visit the Dentist for my routine teeth cleanings and exams. If people did this more often they would prevent a small problem becoming something major and painful. Prices are affordable and everyone is professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Dr Ha is great. Like other customers are saying, he has a nice zen-like calm that is reassuring. He has been gracious with accepting my insurance when several others see who my insurance is and reject me. The ladies up front do their job professionally and have never made any promises they can't fulfill. I feel weird saying that, but these days, way too many companies OVER-PROMISE and under-deliver, and when questioned, get nasty. Dr Ha has integrity that is sorely lacking in our world these days.

I've been seeing dr Troy for a few years now, i always seem to have random things happen to my teeth that need immediate attention. During a pandemic i had no idea what to expect. Dr Troy thank you for always taking such great care of me, for always having me leave pain free. If i could give more than 5 stars i really would, thank you to his staff as well who are always so helpful. I love this dental office, it's a no brainer to call and schedule an appointment!

Dr. Ha is the best! Very gentle and straightforward, he truly wants to help his patients. If you are afraid of dentists I highly recommend him. My teeth have been through a lot and I went to Dr. Ha already having had extractions and needing two more extractions and fillings. He has done it all with ease and these steps have been a crucial part of me regaining my oral health. He can also help guide you on the steps to take to improve teeth appearance. I'm so happy to have found this office. The staff are great and the same dental assistant is with me every time and I just feel so safe with her around. Let me start by saying I'm that person that hates going to a new dentist due to how uncomfortable of an experience it can be! I decided to visit DR Ha only because his prior reviews were so personal of his individual patients experiences! It made me feel at home before even getting there! I called for some general questions, all of which were answered promptly by the women at the front desk! Upon my arrival i was re-informed of my 30min-2hour walk- in wait time! I sat and about 35ish minutes in, i was back in the chair! I came to get an emergency wisdom tooth service! Basically i previously visited 2 other places that took xrays, informed me the cost of surgery and told me i would have to wait a few weeks! That was not happening as i was in excruciating pain! I instantly felt comfortable with Dr Ha! I explained to him that i was terrible and didn't go to the dentist to have the wisdom teeth removed when i should have! An xray was then taken! He comes back in and gets to work! I thought he was just checking out the area to get ready to schedule a surgical appointment or recommend me another facility! I was wrong, 5 minutes in DR places a tooth on the table n says that's your left one! And a few minutes later he proceeded with the right! After weeks of searching, days of terrible pain, and numerous sleepless nights, I literally found my diamond of a dentist! I now have a dentist i call my primary dentist something i haven't consistently had since i was a child! I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Dr Troy continues to be excellent! I've been seeing him for years now. And my kids like him too. They are not afraid to go see him when they have to. I keep recommending him to anyone looking for a great dentist. And the lady receptionist that made my review 4 stars instead of 5 in the past is not there anymore. I hope she is happier wherever she is now.
I had a crown with a former root canal break off at the bone. My dentist was not available, but on the second day, when I went in and he was still not available, one of his partners met with me, advised that I get it done as quickly as possible, then scheduled me for 11 days out, and presented me with a bill for $2400. I left. I was a walk-in at Dr. Ha's, barely had to wait, and got the job done for less than 10%!!!! I will be going back and referring friends. He also has a Cerec machine, so crowns can be done in one day!! Nice man, good service, gentle, nice office.
I don't have a perfect smile. As a matter of fact it's terrible to the point where I don't want to smile. Other dentists I have been to would make rude comments. Dr. Troy Ha has been so kind and respectful since day 1! His staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Ha has been doing everything possible to help me and he hasn't given up. I appreciate him for that. I had to extract a tooth after dealing with it being loose for a couple of months...it had to come out! I was having panic attacks about this every day...I called over 10 different local Long Beach dentist offices and many were either not friendly, gave me over-priced quotes (being I do not have insurance right now) and just not making this easy. I finally came upon Dr. Ha and wow what a difference! Everyone that I spoke with over the phone were very nice and understanding. I even walked in (today - Saturday) no appointment and I only waited about an hour then they got me in. The office is very nice, newer looking equipment and I even was able to watch cable on my private TV while I waited for my turn. Long story short, Dr. Ha was amazing and very helpful. It was not that bad and he removed the tooth in no time. Thank you Dr. Troy and your team for making this procedure easier than I thought. I would highly recommend. Dr. Ha and his team!

Wowwwww... while I felt like a big baby, Dr. Ha has the best bedside manner. He managed me extremely well & unbeknownst to me I needed a root canal right then & there. What an incredible being. I'm so appreciative of him & his assistant. Front staff is great & I am grateful to have finally found a team of people that help me to feel at ease & do impeccable work. I highly recommend Dr. Ha & his office. Kudos to the team.

Well Dr. Ha has done it again! I unknowingly flushed the bottom dentures, due to getting a reaction to some food I ate. I never felt them due to the bottoms were loose because of a reduction in swelling .I barfed, I know, kinda gross, but funny too. So, he made a new bottoms and he was wonderful. Now i have new bottoms and snug fit. I come back in 6 months to measure my bite. It can take up to a year before swelling is completely gone. Now i look forward to putting my teeth in. Thanks Dr.Ha for your knowledge and skills. You're a true professional. Also, his staff is very accommodating and friendly.
Searching for a dentist is scary. I have had a few bad experiences trying new locations. The great ones I've experienced usually are more expensive for services so I don't return after the first visit. With this office I received a combination of both great experience and affordable pricing. I'm so happy and fortunate to find Dr. Ha and the team here. My first visit was for teeth cleaning. It was painless, cleaning was thorough and he was gentle on my teeth. His team is sweet and I have not waited longer than 15-20 minutes before being seen. Thankfully, they accept my insurance and don't push for more expensive treatment options if it's not absolutely necessary. I found my go to dental office.

For 7 years I lived in Long Beach where his office is. I now live 115 miles away in Palm Springs, but still make the drive to his office for my dental needs. From the beginning I found Troy to be everything I wanted in a dentist. He is thorough, exact, careful and empathetic. His explanations are easily understood and his recommendations can be completely trusted. I had the absolute BEST experience here with Dr. Ha, and recommend him to anyone with teeth. He kindly worked with my anxiety, and made me feel very comfortable. I had an extremely traumatic experience with a dentist as a child, followed by years of more mistreatment from other dentists. As an adult, I avoided the dentist all together, until too much discomfort forced me to find one. I don't recommend 5 years without a dentist visit... Dr. Ha found a staggering amount of cavities, practically every molar. Over the course of 4 appointments, Dr. Ha and his team skillfully fixed every spot in my mouth. They were patient with my anxiety (which, through their amazing treatment, was lessened every visit), my stubborn sensitivity, and my out-of-control numb tongue on one occasion. Truly, I could not have had a better dentist. Now, I hope I won't see them for a looooong time! Except, of course, for routine cleanings, that I will never skip again. Thank you Dr. Ha and his wonderful staff!!

Wow! Like most...I hate the dentist! I only go when the tooth is beyond saving (yes...I know...very dumb of me). I think this office was great. Front desk was nice and the dentist was calm and reassuring. Very clean operation. I can't decide what I hate the most about being in the dentist chair...the numbing or the drill? Anyway....very low pain. As a cash patient...I'm hopeful this $200 was well spent. Once this numbing wears off...I'm hopeful the throbbing pain I was in all week goes away. Oh...and most important...open on a Saturday and they take walkins!! Huge plus!!
Just saw Dr. Ha for the first time and he is amazing. This is actually my first Yelp post and I was so impressed with the service I really wanted to write something. I got hit by my surfboard and one of my front teeth got chipped. I also busted my lip and had to get stitches. Dr Ha was very kind and patient and worked around my stitches and fixed my tooth. There was little to no pain.
This place is great! Situated in a non-descript strip mall, I have never noticed it before...and I live 2 blocks away! Anyhow, once inside, the office is clean, the staff is friendly. On my first visit, I probably waited 5 minutes. Today, the wait was considerably longer, but they were very busy. They take walk-ins, so that could've been a factor. The best part is that they have a big screen TV that you can watch while you're waiting in the dentist chair. Dr. Ha is great about explaining things. Very professional. This is my go-to dentist from now on. I can walk to his office!

Now that the old lady seems to be gone from the front desk staff I cannot think of anything I do not love about this place. No multi bookings. Dr Ha comes in and takes care of you, not his hygienist, he himself takes care of you. If you need numbing he injects you and does not leave your side until he is finished. No getting put in a room and waiting an hour like most places. In and out seems to be his policy. Troy Ha has made going to the dentist almost a pleasure instead of an all day torture process like most places.
I've been going here for just over seven years and I've been very happy. Dr. Ha and his staff are very professional and honest which is very hard to find in this industry. I am always seen at my appointment time which is very much appreciated since other places usually have you wait over 15 minutes.
Really helpful, honest, efficient, & painless. I called in last minute to make an urgent appointment and didn't expect to be seen that day, but the receptionist was really helpful and fit me into their schedule for an urgent appointment that afternoon. They were accommodating since it was my first time there and even went out of their way to verify that everything was covered by my insurance before doing anything that would cost me out of pocket. (Even though I didn't have my insurance card or much of any of the info). Plus, I barely spent any time sitting in the waiting room!
Holy cow. I don't even know if words can express how much I LOVE Dr. Ha! He is an expert. My first time there was quick easy - then had to come back to get a cavity filled and SAME THING. Quick, easy, painless. And open on Saturdays, love him. No, but seriously, I normally HATE going to the dentist like HATE but for some reason he's so nice and makes it not so bad! Best dentist EVER.

i cannot say enough about dr troy ha. i don't have the best dental luck. i've had more than a few emergencies (chipped tooth, abscess, aches) and he always finds time to fit me in - no problem, no matter how last minute. he is kind, patient, and excellent at communicating both what's happening as well as what treatment options are available. i recently traveled to mexico to have extensive specialist work done and was overwhelmed when i realized what i was facing after my initial consultation (extractions, implants, root canals, gum surgery...) i called dr ha as soon as i left the office to ask his opinion on their recommendations. he got right on the phone with me. can we all take a moment to marvel at that? a doctor getting on the phone to talk to a patient? moreover to discuss procedures being performed by a different practice he has no obligation to entertain. but dr ha genuinely cares. we spoke at length. his honest, informed advice greatly helped me move forward - both by helping me to understand the reasoning behind each proposal and also by reassuring me simply by taking the time to discuss each and every question i had (and i had quite a few). and after i exhausted all my concerns? he encouraged me to get in touch anytime if i needed any more advice. a wonderful person. a wonderful dentist. dr ha - you are a legend.

Dr. Troy Ha was the third dentist, I visited due to a loose crown on a back molar. Both basically said it needed to come out. One referred me to an oral surgeon and one said he could to it, the problem being I would have to wait a long time to have it done. I looked up oral surgeons on yelp and Troy Ha DDS popped up with great reviews! I thought "let me give him a call". I called and was able to get an appointment the next day for a consultation and extraction depending on his findings. I did have some reservations as the location was a bit strange plus the day before my consultation I brought in an x-ray of the tooth to see if he could do the extraction because this tooth has previously had a root canal so it would be brittle plus it was cracked under the crown. The lady at the counter looked at it for 2 seconds, handed back to me and said "He can do it, see you tomorrow." I said ok, you don't want to show the dentist? she said "he's not here but, I looked at it, he can do it". I said "ok". I was a bit nervous after that but, I thought a lot of the receptionists at dental offices really know their stuff so lets see how this goes. So, I am writing this, still numb from the local anesthetic to tell you, this is a fantastic dental office and Dr. Tony Ha is a fantastic dentist. Everything is very modern and clean, he is very thorough and professional even though my extraction was a difficult one, he performed the task like a champ. I was paying out of pocket and I found is pricing to be very reasonable. He is calm, makes you feel at ease, plus they have TV's you can watch while waiting in the chair, that was cool! I'm very glad I came across this place.Thanks Yelp! I am currently trying to purchase dental insurance and I want to make sure I can go to Dr. Ha with whatever I get. Thanks Dr. Ha and staff! 2nd visit to this dentist office and by far the most professional, friendly staff. They go above and beyond with every visit. Most people have a phobia of going to the dentist but I actually look forward to it. Awesome customer service, never feel rushed or pressured a very easy feeling when walking in. Dr. Ha has been a friend of mine since college and I refused to use him for dental until I had my entire extended family going and telling me how amazing he was. Did I really want my friend poking around in my mouth? Well after a diagnosis problem at my current average dentist, I gave in and tried Dr. Ha. Hes so down to earth and calm with patients. He does all work himself and is never rushed. I would classify the work as meticulous and even artistic. While I don't live there, I can tell her really cares for the LB community and they are lucky. Dr. Ha is the best dentist my sister and I have ever been to. I brought my little sister here for a dental exam and we received the best customer service and treatment we were running very late and they were more than willing to accommodate us a half hour after we were supposed to be there. Dr. Ha was very friendly,gentle, and took his time to explain everything to my little sister and then came to the waiting room to discuss everything with me as well. He was even willing to let me email him paperwork we forgot to bring with us that we needed filled out and sent to her orthodontist. Never before has my little sister enjoyed going to the dentist.
After talking to Dr. Ha and deciding to come in again.. I am EXTREMELY happy with my decision to give it another shot. He was friendly and accommodating and extremely knowledgable. My son had no idea he was even being numbed. I will definitely be back and I would definitely recommend Dr. Ha.
I needed to have my teeth cleaned and a small chip in one of my teeth repaired. Dr. Ha is relatively close to where I live and I'd heard great things about him and his staff. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. The day that I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the inside of the office. It's very clean, modern and there was no wait time upon arrival. Dr. Ha was fantastic. He explained everything thoroughly. I had a few questions and he answered those as well. I was also pleased with his staff; they were very friendly and professional. I will definitely be back for my next cleaning.

I've been cautious about dentists for the last 10 years but Dr. Troy Ha regained my trust (only for Dr. Troy Ha). It's been over 2 years now visiting Dr. Troy Ha and he is the BEST! I had a severe gum disease which he treated. Then he taught me how to thoroughly brush and care for my teeth and gums. Now, I just visit him every 6 months for cleaning. He asked me what was I doing. I said I was just following your instruction and procedure every day. :-) Dr. Troy Ha is very humble and down to earth when you talk to him. His explanation is to your language which you can understand. I understand why some of the comments about the lady in the front desk (his mother) was made, but once you talk and experience Dr. Troy Ha's procedures, it makes up for it.

I am so impressed! What a great dentists and staff. After having a horrible experience taking my 4 yo to the dentist (a different one) one time I was scared to try again. I called for an appointment and they were very nice on the phone. They have Saturday appointments, which is a big plus. We got an appointment for less than a week away. Big pro is it doesn't smell like a dentist office. Very clean office. The hygienist was sweet to my son and the dentists was just as great. He took his time but didn't take too much time. Kept things at a great pace so that my child wasn't sitting waiting or freaking out. He cleaned my sons teeth and took x-rays. In and out in 40 minutes. I left feeling great that my child was treated with such care and respect. And my son is excited for the next appointment. What kid gets excited over the dentists? One that goes to a freaking fantastic dentist, that is what kind.

I moved here from the East Coast almost 3 or 4 months ago. I had ALWAYS hated going to the dentist, and unfortunately hadn't gone in at least 4 years. While here I had felt extreme pain in my upper left tooth, and then eventually found a hole in my tooth. Reluctantly I went and found a dentist, and stumbled upon Dr. Troy Ha. He has completely changed the way that I view the dentist, and I probably will never change as long as I can. On my first visit he took X-rays and Cleaned my teeth... All those years of no brushing and check ups showed.... 11 Cavities!!! He immediately noted the one with the hole in it and decided to try and save it, as it was nearly to the root. I now have a crown on it and it feels great. Out of the 11 cavities 4 have been taken care of, with the choice of the white or silver fillings (to save price). He is a WONDERFUL dentist who is gentle and caring. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend him!!!

I am so glad I found dr ha. Ive been seeing My old dentist, who is rated #1 on yelp, for years. At the beginning of the year my jaw got broken, cracking some molars and my two front teeth. The molars were extremely painful, my two front teeth just looked hideous. Due to limitations on my insurance, I was forced to choose between being in extreme pain or looking ridiculous for the rest of the year until my insurance would reset. So I had him fix the molars and have looked like a hillbilly tweaker since February. I called my old dentist two days ago to make an appointment, excited to finally get my hideous smile fixed. Despite the fact I've been seeing "#1" dentist for about 5 years, they didn't have an appt available until January 27th! That was unacceptable, so I found dr. Ha on yelp, planning to just get my smile fixed up, then return to my old dentist. Well goodbye old dentist! Dr. Ha recommended I come in the next day so we could get the ball rolling. When I was there, he went over exactly what needed to be done. Very straightforward, with the lowest price on crowns anywhere! Then, to my surprise, he said he'd temporarily fix my teeth until the crowns could be put in. Temporaries were out of my price range due to the maxed out insurance, so he put dental cement in. It took about 15 minutes, AND MY TEETH LOOK GOOD AS NEW! Better actually! I cannot believe my old dentist, who was very nice and all, did not offer this to me. Dr. Ha charged virtually nothing. Even if he charged me 200 dollars it would have been more than worth it! I wish I would've went to dr ha a long time ago! Wouldn't have had to look like a fool all year! Like other people have said I hope he doesn't get so popular it's hard to get appointments, but he definitely should be. Even if it takes a month to get an appt in the future, you've got a patient for life! THANK YOU DR HA!!!
It's taken me 25 years, and probably over 30 different dental searches, to find a dentist I trust. Dr. Ha is a rarity. He's exceptionally friendly, reasonable, honest, and punctual--all qualities I didn't think existed in dentists. I'm hesitant to share him with Yelp, just because I'm afraid others will start flocking to him and it will be harder to get appointments. His mother works the reception, though, and she's also extremely nice.
I came here because I found him on Yelp...so thanks yelp. He was really nice and helpful. Price wasn't too bad. Got some x-rays, cleaning, and also got a free whitening kit for it being my first time there. That was pretty cool. Over all a good experience.

I went to Dr. Ha based on Yelp reviews and proximaty to my location. Getting an appointment was very easy - I went in the next day. The prices were explained to me very clearly (i asked before I went there.) First visit I waited about 15 minutes. The following 2 visits I was seen right away, so I am happy with their time management. I had deep cleaning done in 2 visits. It was pretty much pain free experience. At first I was concerned that 50 minutes would not be enough time to get thorough cleaning done for 1/2 of the mouth, but he really did a thorough and efficient job! The soreness I had for a few years literally went away that day. I paid in cash - $400 for full mouth deep cleaning. General dotor's visit is only $30. The dentist explained in details and with a demo model what the procedure would involve and which teeth had problems. So I felt I was not blind to what was being done. The clinic is very very clean - that is very important. The only negative thing I have to say is that the dental assistant definitely needs some patient sensitivity training. It really is not cool to make gasping sound and commenting on how she could not stand the scaling sound. Hello! I am still here! Overall, I am very glad I went to Dr. Ha's clinic and would definitely recommend him based on the results I have gotten.

I just had an appointment with Dr. Ha and I am glad I found him on yelp. He was so kind and gentle. I was a nervous nellie and he made me feel at ease. He didn't scold me on the quality of my teeth or try to sell me what I didn't need. He did a great job at making my teeth look pretty and I will definitely be back!
This dentist is amazing. Real nice guy. The outside of the office looks like most of eastside long beach, hood. When you walk in to the inside it's almost like being on a hollywood movie set it's so clean and perfect. He pulled a tooth out for me cheap. I will be back to get another one taken out. Soon.
I am so glad that I turned to Yelp to help me find my new Dentist. First thing's first, thank goodness there is a parking lot right in front of the office. I'm far too lazy to walk blocks after blocks just for some good ol' teeth cleaning. The office was very spacious and clean. I've heard and read about many dental offices that didn't make you feel confident with what they are using to drill your mouth. Luckily, this isn't one of those horror places. Maybe I just lucked out and went when it wasn't busy, but the other reviews are true when they said that the Doctor is very punctual. I got my teeth x-rayed (and it wasn't pretty), but Dr. Troy Ha was very professional and nice enough to tell me that my teeth are jacked up in the nicest way I could imagine. (Thank you) He definitely knew what he was talking about and told me exactly what I needed to get done and was honest and realistic about it. My past dentists barely even talked to me... they just cleaned a bit and rushed me out the door so that they can move on to the next patient. Dr. Troy Ha was very patient and answered ALL of the questions that I had. He even went over everything that my insurance covered and what it didn't... so I knew exactly what my bill was going to look like before I got suckered into anything I couldn't afford. Whew! He walked me out and had the receptionist make another appointment for me and that is when I realized that the Doctor is very thorough with his work. He even told her that he would need extra time with my teeth (hour and a half to be exact). Usually, the appointment time slots are about 30 minutes and doctors fail to make a note of that to the people setting up the appointments and that is what causes delays on appointments. I was very impressed. AND... thank goodness the receptionist had legible penmanship! I'm actually looking forward to my next visit, believe it or not. My Husband is actually going to switch over to Dr. Troy Ha as well... and that says a lot... especially coming from someone who has been going to the same dentist he had trusted for many years!
When the time comes to see a dentist, there's one thing that's VERY IMPORTANT to me. I don't want to feel nervous about ANY part of the experience! Not the night before, not driving to my appointment, and definitely not during! That's why I drive about an hour each way to see Dr. Ha. He makes me feel so at ease. He smiles right when I see him. He visits with me like a normal down-to-earth human being, never rushing me in conversation whether it's about my teeth or just life in general. Bottom line, he's very personable, and that means a lot to me. Obviously, it's just as important that I feel confident about his work. I haven't had a single problem in all the years of work he has done. He's so thorough! He constantly communicates with me answering any questions I may have, without skipping a beat. My wife goes to a dentist 10 minutes away that she says is GREAT! But, I REFUSE to switch! I'm convinced there's nobody better than Dr. Ha! :)

I went as a walk in, was seen in less than 5 mins, plus x-ray was done right after. Had to get a tooth extraction so that was done after x-ray. The whole process took me less than 20 min as a walk in, also he is great with making it less painful as possible! Great job and thank you!!

I’m just going to start off by saying Dr. Ha is a Super Hero Dentist! He made every visit easy and comfortable. Since day one I knew I found a home. He was gentle with his words and work. I kept getting denied and he fought to make sure I got the smile I deserved. I’ll forever be grateful!
As a new patient, I came in for a teeth cleaning and exam. Dr. Troy Ha is trust worthy, he did not find any cavities which I already knew because my previous Dentist who retired gave me the same diagnosis. I regularly visit the Dentist for my routine teeth cleanings and exams. If people did this more often they would prevent a small problem becoming something major and painful. Prices are affordable and everyone is professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Dr Ha is great. Like other customers are saying, he has a nice zen-like calm that is reassuring. He has been gracious with accepting my insurance when several others see who my insurance is and reject me. The ladies up front do their job professionally and have never made any promises they can't fulfill. I feel weird saying that, but these days, way too many companies OVER-PROMISE and under-deliver, and when questioned, get nasty. Dr Ha has integrity that is sorely lacking in our world these days.

I've been seeing dr Troy for a few years now, i always seem to have random things happen to my teeth that need immediate attention. During a pandemic i had no idea what to expect. Dr Troy thank you for always taking such great care of me, for always having me leave pain free. My teeth have been through a lot and I went to Dr. Ha already having had extractions and needing two more extractions and fillings. Let me start by saying I'm that person that hates going to a new dentist due to how uncomfortable of an experience it can be! I decided to visit DR Ha only because his prior reviews were so personal of his individual patients experiences! It made me feel at home before even getting there! I called for some general questions, all of which were answered promptly by the women at the front desk! Upon my arrival i was re-informed of my 30min-2hour walk- in wait time! I sat and about 35ish minutes in, i was back in the chair! I came to get an emergency wisdom tooth service! Basically i previously visited 2 other places that took xrays, informed me the cost of surgery and told me i would have to wait a few weeks! That was not happening as i was in excruciating pain! I instantly felt comfortable with Dr Ha! I explained to him that i was terrible and didn't go to the dentist to have the wisdom teeth removed when i should have! An xray was then taken! He comes back in and gets to work! I thought he was just checking out the area to get ready to schedule a surgical appointment or recommend me another facility! I was wrong, 5 minutes in DR places a tooth on the table n says that's your left one! And a few minutes later he proceeded with the right! After weeks of searching, days of terrible pain, and numerous sleepless nights, I literally found my diamond of a dentist! I now have a dentist i call my primary dentist something i haven't consistently had since i was a child! I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Dr Troy continues to be excellent! I've been seeing him for years now. And my kids like him too. They are not afraid to go see him when they have to. I keep recommending him to anyone looking for a great dentist. And the lady receptionist that made my review 4 stars instead of 5 in the past is not there anymore. I had a crown with a former root canal break off at the bone. My dentist was not available, but on the second day, when I went in and he was still not available, one of his partners met with me, advised that I get it done as quickly as possible, then scheduled me for 11 days out, and presented me with a bill for $2400. I left. I was a walk-in at Dr. Ha's, barely had to wait, and got the job done for less than 10%!!!! I will be going back and referring friends. He also has a Cerec machine, so crowns can be done in one day!! Nice man, good service, gentle, nice office.
I don't have a perfect smile. As a matter of fact it's terrible to the point where I don't want to smile. Other dentists I have been to would make rude comments. Dr. Troy Ha has been so kind and respectful since day 1! His staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Ha has been doing everything possible to help me and he hasn't given up. I appreciate him for that. I had to extract a tooth after dealing with it being loose for a couple of months...it had to come out! I was having panic attacks about this every day...I called over 10 different local Long Beach dentist offices and many were either not friendly, gave me over-priced quotes (being I do not have insurance right now) and just not making this easy. I finally came upon Dr. Ha and wow what a difference! Everyone that I spoke with over the phone were very nice and understanding. I even walked in (today - Saturday) no appointment and I only waited about an hour then they got me in. The office is very nice, newer looking equipment and I even was able to watch cable on my private TV while I waited for my turn. Long story short, Dr. Ha was amazing and very helpful. It was not that bad and he removed the tooth in no time. Thank you Dr. Troy and your team for making this procedure easier than I thought. I would highly recommend. Dr. Ha and his team!

Wowwwww... while I felt like a big baby, Dr. Ha has the best bedside manner. He managed me extremely well & unbeknownst to me I needed a root canal right then & there. What an incredible being. I'm so appreciative of him & his assistant. Front staff is great & I am grateful to have finally found a team of people that help me to feel at ease & do impeccable work. Well Dr. Ha has done it again! I unknowingly flushed the bottom dentures, due to getting a reaction to some food I ate. I never felt them due to the bottoms were loose because of a reduction in swelling .I barfed, I know, kinda gross, but funny too. So, he made a new bottoms and he was wonderful. Now i have new bottoms and snug fit. I come back in 6 months to measure my bite. It can take up to a year before swelling is completely gone. Now i look forward to putting my teeth in. Thanks Dr.Ha for your knowledge and skills. You're a true professional. Also, his staff is very accommodating and friendly.
Searching for a dentist is scary. I have had a few bad experiences trying new locations. The great ones I've experienced usually are more expensive for services so I don't return after the first visit. With this office I received a combination of both great experience and affordable pricing. I'm so happy and fortunate to find Dr. Ha and the team here. My first visit was for teeth cleaning. It was painless, cleaning was thorough and he was gentle on my teeth. His team is sweet and I have not waited longer than 15-20 minutes before being seen. Thankfully, they accept my insurance and don't push for more expensive treatment options if it's not absolutely necessary. I found my go to dental office.

For 7 years I lived in Long Beach where his office is. I now live 115 miles away in Palm Springs, but still make the drive to his office for my dental needs. From the beginning I found Troy to be everything I wanted in a dentist. He is thorough, exact, careful and empathetic. His explanations are easily understood and his recommendations can be completely trusted. I had the absolute BEST experience here with Dr. Ha, and recommend him to anyone with teeth. He kindly worked with my anxiety, and made me feel very comfortable. I had an extremely traumatic experience with a dentist as a child, followed by years of more mistreatment from other dentists. As an adult, I avoided the dentist all together, until too much discomfort forced me to find one. I don't recommend 5 years without a dentist visit... Dr. Ha found a staggering amount of cavities, practically every molar. Over the course of 4 appointments, Dr. Ha and his team skillfully fixed every spot in my mouth. They were patient with my anxiety (which, through their amazing treatment, was lessened every visit), my stubborn sensitivity, and my out-of-control numb tongue on one occasion. Truly, I could not have had a better dentist. Now, I hope I won't see them for a looooong time! Except, of course, for routine cleanings, that I will never skip again. Thank you Dr. Ha and his wonderful staff!!

Wow! Like most...I hate the dentist! I only go when the tooth is beyond saving (yes...I know...very dumb of me). I think this office was great. Front desk was nice and the dentist was calm and reassuring. Very clean operation. I can't decide what I hate the most about being in the dentist chair...the numbing or the drill? Anyway....very low pain. As a cash patient...I'm hopeful this $200 was well spent. Once this numbing wears off...I'm hopeful the throbbing pain I was in all week goes away. Oh...and most important...open on a Saturday and they take walkins!! Huge plus!!
Just saw Dr. Ha for the first time and he is amazing. This is actually my first Yelp post and I was so impressed with the service I really wanted to write something. I got hit by my surfboard and one of my front teeth got chipped. I also busted my lip and had to get stitches. Dr Ha was very kind and patient and worked around my stitches and fixed my tooth. There was little to no pain.
This place is great! Situated in a non-descript strip mall, I have never noticed it before...and I live 2 blocks away! Anyhow, once inside, the office is clean, the staff is friendly. On my first visit, I probably waited 5 minutes. Today, the wait was considerably longer, but they were very busy. They take walk-ins, so that could've been a factor. The best part is that they have a big screen TV that you can watch while you're waiting in the dentist chair. Dr. Ha is great about explaining things. Very professional. This is my go-to dentist from now on. I can walk to his office!

Now that the old lady seems to be gone from the front desk staff I cannot think of anything I do not love about this place. No multi bookings. Dr Ha comes in and takes care of you, not his hygienist, he himself takes care of you. If you need numbing he injects you and does not leave your side until he is finished. No getting put in a room and waiting an hour like most places. In and out seems to be his policy. Troy Ha has made going to the dentist almost a pleasure instead of an all day torture process like most places.
I've been going here for just over seven years and I've been very happy. Dr. Ha and his staff are very professional and honest which is very hard to find in this industry. I am always seen at my appointment time which is very much appreciated since other places usually have you wait over 15 minutes.
Really helpful, honest, efficient, & painless. I called in last minute to make an urgent appointment and didn't expect to be seen that day, but the receptionist was really helpful and fit me into their schedule for an urgent appointment that afternoon. They were accommodating since it was my first time there and even went out of their way to verify that everything was covered by my insurance before doing anything that would cost me out of pocket. (Even though I didn't have my insurance card or much of any of the info). Plus, I barely spent any time sitting in the waiting room!
Holy cow. I don't even know if words can express how much I LOVE Dr. Ha! He is an expert. My first time there was quick easy - then had to come back to get a cavity filled and SAME THING. Quick, easy, painless. And open on Saturdays, love him. No, but seriously, I normally HATE going to the dentist like HATE but for some reason he's so nice and makes it not so bad! Best dentist EVER.

i cannot say enough about dr troy ha. i don't have the best dental luck. i've had more than a few emergencies (chipped tooth, abscess, aches) and he always finds time to fit me in - no problem, no matter how last minute. he is kind, patient, and excellent at communicating both what's happening as well as what treatment options are available. i recently traveled to mexico to have extensive specialist work done and was overwhelmed when i realized what i was facing after my initial consultation (extractions, implants, root canals, gum surgery...) i called dr ha as soon as i left the office to ask his opinion on their recommendations. he got right on the phone with me. can we all take a moment to marvel at that? a doctor getting on the phone to talk to a patient? moreover to discuss procedures being performed by a different practice he has no obligation to entertain. but dr ha genuinely cares. we spoke at length. his honest, informed advice greatly helped me move forward - both by helping me to understand the reasoning behind each proposal and also by reassuring me simply by taking the time to discuss each and every question i had (and i had quite a few). and after i exhausted all my concerns? he encouraged me to get in touch anytime if i needed any more advice. a wonderful person. a wonderful dentist. dr ha - you are a legend.

Dr. Troy Ha was the third dentist, I visited due to a loose crown on a back molar. Both basically said it needed to come out. One referred me to an oral surgeon and one said he could to it, the problem being I would have to wait a long time to have it done. I looked up oral surgeons on yelp and Troy Ha DDS popped up with great reviews! I thought "let me give him a call". I called and was able to get an appointment the next day for a consultation and extraction depending on his findings. I did have some reservations as the location was a bit strange plus the day before my consultation I brought in an x-ray of the tooth to see if he could do the extraction because this tooth has previously had a root canal so it would be brittle plus it was cracked under the crown. The lady at the counter looked at it for 2 seconds, handed back to me and said "He can do it, see you tomorrow." I said ok, you don't want to show the dentist? she said "he's not here but, I looked at it, he can do it". I said "ok". I was a bit nervous after that but, I thought a lot of the receptionists at dental offices really know their stuff so lets see how this goes. So, I am writing this, still numb from the local anesthetic to tell you, this is a fantastic dental office and Dr. Tony Ha is a fantastic dentist. Everything is very modern and clean, he is very thorough and professional even though my extraction was a difficult one, he performed the task like a champ. I was paying out of pocket and I found is pricing to be very reasonable. He is calm, makes you feel at ease, plus they have TV's you can watch while waiting in the chair, that was cool! I'm very glad I came across this place.Thanks Yelp! I am currently trying to purchase dental insurance and I want to make sure I can go to Dr. Ha with whatever I get. Thanks Dr. Ha and staff! Dr. Ha has been a friend of mine since college and I refused to use him for dental until I had my entire extended family going and telling me how amazing he was. Did I really want my friend poking around in my mouth? Well after a diagnosis problem at my current average dentist, I gave in and tried Dr. Ha. Hes so down to earth and calm with patients. He does all work himself and is never rushed. I would classify the work as meticulous and even artistic. While I don't live there, I can tell her really cares for the LB community and they are lucky. Dr. Ha is the best dentist my sister and I have ever been to. I brought my little sister here for a dental exam and we received the best customer service and treatment we were running very late and they were more than willing to accommodate us a half hour after we were supposed to be there. Dr. Ha was very friendly,gentle, and took his time to explain everything to my little sister and then came to the waiting room to discuss everything with me as well. He was even willing to let me email him paperwork we forgot to bring with us that we needed filled out and sent to her orthodontist. Never before has my little sister enjoyed going to the dentist.
After talking to Dr. Ha and deciding to come in again.. I am EXTREMELY happy with my decision to give it another shot. He was friendly and accommodating and extremely knowledgable. My son had no idea he was even being numbed. I will definitely be back and I would definitely recommend Dr. Ha.
I needed to have my teeth cleaned and a small chip in one of my teeth repaired. Dr. Ha is relatively close to where I live and I'd heard great things about him and his staff. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. The day that I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the inside of the office. It's very clean, modern and there was no wait time upon arrival. Dr. Ha was fantastic. He explained everything thoroughly. I had a few questions and he answered those as well. I was also pleased with his staff; they were very friendly and professional. I will definitely be back for my next cleaning.
He is the best dentist in Long Beach! Dr. Ha pays attention what a patient needs, and he advices the best solution. He explains very well. Talk with him, then you will pick the best treatment.
I've been cautious about dentists for the last 10 years but Dr. Troy Ha regained my trust (only for Dr. Troy Ha). It's been over 2 years now visiting Dr. Troy Ha and he is the BEST! I had a severe gum disease which he treated. Then he taught me how to thoroughly brush and care for my teeth and gums. Now, I just visit him every 6 months for cleaning. He asked me what was I doing. I said I was just following your instruction and procedure every day. :-) Dr. Troy Ha is very humble and down to earth when you talk to him. His explanation is to your language which you can understand. I understand why some of the comments about the lady in the front desk (his mother) was made, but once you talk and experience Dr. Troy Ha's procedures, it makes up for it.
OMG BEST DENTIST EVER. Seriously, you will not find greater attention to detail and a calm, gentle Dr as Dr Ha. Absolutely love this guy and recommend ALL my family and friends to him, cannot recommend enough. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment for any dental need.
I am so impressed! What a great dentists and staff. After having a horrible experience taking my 4 yo to the dentist (a different one) one time I was scared to try again. I called for an appointment and they were very nice on the phone. They have Saturday appointments, which is a big plus. We got an appointment for less than a week away. Big pro is it doesn't smell like a dentist office. Very clean office. The hygienist was sweet to my son and the dentists was just as great. He took his time but didn't take too much time. Kept things at a great pace so that my child wasn't sitting waiting or freaking out. He cleaned my sons teeth and took x-rays. In and out in 40 minutes. I left feeling great that my child was treated with such care and respect. And my son is excited for the next appointment. What kid gets excited over the dentists? One that goes to a freaking fantastic dentist, that is what kind.

I moved here from the East Coast almost 3 or 4 months ago. I had ALWAYS hated going to the dentist, and unfortunately hadn't gone in at least 4 years. While here I had felt extreme pain in my upper left tooth, and then eventually found a hole in my tooth. Reluctantly I went and found a dentist, and stumbled upon Dr. Troy Ha. He has completely changed the way that I view the dentist, and I probably will never change as long as I can. On my first visit he took X-rays and Cleaned my teeth... All those years of no brushing and check ups showed.... 11 Cavities!!! He immediately noted the one with the hole in it and decided to try and save it, as it was nearly to the root. I now have a crown on it and it feels great. Out of the 11 cavities 4 have been taken care of, with the choice of the white or silver fillings (to save price). He is a WONDERFUL dentist who is gentle and caring. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend him!!!
No pain very gentle legit dentist! No hidden fees by the way he is not an endodontist so if you need a root canal you will be referred to a colleague at another office.
This is our family dental office . Dr. Ha has been very helpful with all we have needed, especially with my daughters braces . We have recommended this office to everyone we know. I am so glad I found dr ha. Ive been seeing My old dentist, who is rated #1 on yelp, for years. At the beginning of the year my jaw got broken, cracking some molars and my two front teeth. The molars were extremely painful, my two front teeth just looked hideous. Due to limitations on my insurance, I was forced to choose between being in extreme pain or looking ridiculous for the rest of the year until my insurance would reset. So I had him fix the molars and have looked like a hillbilly tweaker since February. I called my old dentist two days ago to make an appointment, excited to finally get my hideous smile fixed. Despite the fact I've been seeing "#1" dentist for about 5 years, they didn't have an appt available until January 27th! That was unacceptable, so I found dr. Ha on yelp, planning to just get my smile fixed up, then return to my old dentist. Well goodbye old dentist! Dr. Ha recommended I come in the next day so we could get the ball rolling. When I was there, he went over exactly what needed to be done. Very straightforward, with the lowest price on crowns anywhere! Then, to my surprise, he said he'd temporarily fix my teeth until the crowns could be put in. Temporaries were out of my price range due to the maxed out insurance, so he put dental cement in. It took about 15 minutes, AND MY TEETH LOOK GOOD AS NEW! Better actually! I cannot believe my old dentist, who was very nice and all, did not offer this to me. Dr. Ha charged virtually nothing. Even if he charged me 200 dollars it would have been more than worth it! I wish I would've went to dr ha a long time ago! Wouldn't have had to look like a fool all year! Like other people have said I hope he doesn't get so popular it's hard to get appointments, but he definitely should be. Even if it takes a month to get an appt in the future, you've got a patient for life! THANK YOU DR HA!!!
It's taken me 25 years, and probably over 30 different dental searches, to find a dentist I trust. Dr. Ha is a rarity. He's exceptionally friendly, reasonable, honest, and punctual--all qualities I didn't think existed in dentists. I'm hesitant to share him with Yelp, just because I'm afraid others will start flocking to him and it will be harder to get appointments. His mother works the reception, though, and she's also extremely nice.
I came here because I found him on Yelp...so thanks yelp. He was really nice and helpful. Price wasn't too bad. Got some x-rays, cleaning, and also got a free whitening kit for it being my first time there. That was pretty cool. Over all a good experience.
Dr. Ha pulled 2 of my wisdom teeth with ease... I walked away thinking to myself that was it... I'm really glad I found a great dentist... :)
I went to Dr. Ha based on Yelp reviews and proximaty to my location. Getting an appointment was very easy - I went in the next day. The prices were explained to me very clearly (i asked before I went there.) First visit I waited about 15 minutes. The following 2 visits I was seen right away, so I am happy with their time management. I had deep cleaning done in 2 visits. It was pretty much pain free experience. At first I was concerned that 50 minutes would not be enough time to get thorough cleaning done for 1/2 of the mouth, but he really did a thorough and efficient job! The soreness I had for a few years literally went away that day. I paid in cash - $400 for full mouth deep cleaning. General dotor's visit is only $30. The dentist explained in details and with a demo model what the procedure would involve and which teeth had problems. So I felt I was not blind to what was being done. The clinic is very very clean - that is very important. The only negative thing I have to say is that the dental assistant definitely needs some patient sensitivity training. It really is not cool to make gasping sound and commenting on how she could not stand the scaling sound. Hello! I am still here! Overall, I am very glad I went to Dr. Ha's clinic and would definitely recommend him based on the results I have gotten.

I just had an appointment with Dr. Ha and I am glad I found him on yelp. He was so kind and gentle. I was a nervous nellie and he made me feel at ease. He didn't scold me on the quality of my teeth or try to sell me what I didn't need. He did a great job at making my teeth look pretty and I will definitely be back!
This dentist is amazing. Real nice guy. The outside of the office looks like most of eastside long beach, hood. When you walk in to the inside it's almost like being on a hollywood movie set it's so clean and perfect. He pulled a tooth out for me cheap. I will be back to get another one taken out. Soon.
I am so glad that I turned to Yelp to help me find my new Dentist. First thing's first, thank goodness there is a parking lot right in front of the office. I'm far too lazy to walk blocks after blocks just for some good ol' teeth cleaning. The office was very spacious and clean. I've heard and read about many dental offices that didn't make you feel confident with what they are using to drill your mouth. Luckily, this isn't one of those horror places. Maybe I just lucked out and went when it wasn't busy, but the other reviews are true when they said that the Doctor is very punctual. I got my teeth x-rayed (and it wasn't pretty), but Dr. Troy Ha was very professional and nice enough to tell me that my teeth are jacked up in the nicest way I could imagine. (Thank you) He definitely knew what he was talking about and told me exactly what I needed to get done and was honest and realistic about it. My past dentists barely even talked to me... they just cleaned a bit and rushed me out the door so that they can move on to the next patient. Dr. Troy Ha was very patient and answered ALL of the questions that I had. He even went over everything that my insurance covered and what it didn't... so I knew exactly what my bill was going to look like before I got suckered into anything I couldn't afford. Whew! He walked me out and had the receptionist make another appointment for me and that is when I realized that the Doctor is very thorough with his work. He even told her that he would need extra time with my teeth (hour and a half to be exact). Usually, the appointment time slots are about 30 minutes and doctors fail to make a note of that to the people setting up the appointments and that is what causes delays on appointments. I was very impressed. AND... thank goodness the receptionist had legible penmanship! I'm actually looking forward to my next visit, believe it or not. My Husband is actually going to switch over to Dr. Troy Ha as well... and that says a lot... especially coming from someone who has been going to the same dentist he had trusted for many years!
When the time comes to see a dentist, there's one thing that's VERY IMPORTANT to me. I don't want to feel nervous about ANY part of the experience! Not the night before, not driving to my appointment, and definitely not during! That's why I drive about an hour each way to see Dr. Ha. He makes me feel so at ease. He smiles right when I see him. He visits with me like a normal down-to-earth human being, never rushing me in conversation whether it's about my teeth or just life in general. Bottom line, he's very personable, and that means a lot to me. Obviously, it's just as important that I feel confident about his work. I haven't had a single problem in all the years of work he has done. He's so thorough! He constantly communicates with me answering any questions I may have, without skipping a beat. My wife goes to a dentist 10 minutes away that she says is GREAT! But, I REFUSE to switch! I'm convinced there's nobody better than Dr. Ha! :)

Dr. Ha is USC educated dentist who owns and operates his own dentistry at the northwest corner of Cherry and 4th in Long Beach. I found Dr. Ha thanks to the referral of a close friend and I will never go anywhere else. Dr. Ha is gentle, caring and very thorough. His practice is modern and comfortable. Best of all, Dr. Ha does his own hygenist work. For a thorough teeth cleaning by a caring professional, choose Dr. Ha! I actually look forward to going to the dentist...and you can too!
